In-Clinic Laboratory

Blue Ridge Animal Clinic has an on-site laboratory that enables us to perform diagnostic screening tests for your dog or cat. In our laboratory, we can run complete blood chemistry panels, blood tests for heartworm and tick-borne diseases, and tests to check for kidney and bladder health, including:

• CBC (Complete Blood Counts)
• Urinalysis and fecal examinations
• Fecal testing for intestinal parasites
• Parvo tests
• Electrolyte evaluation
• Cytology of skin and ear cytology Samples
• Organ function test to include blood glucose, kidney, liver and pancreas function
• FeLV, FIV, feline heartworm testing
• Cortisol testing for Cushings disease
